During a PhD supervised by Loic Jierry in collaboration with IS2M, CETIM, and IPHC, and supported by the Carnot MICA, Miguel Martinez Mendez has prepared open-cell polymer foams coated with a polyphenolic film. These materials were able of selectively and reversibly adsorbing metal ions of interest. The implementation of these porous polymer materials in continuous flow reactors has demonstrated their strong potential for industrial valorization. Through this prize, SATT Conectus awards the effort of the doctoral student focused on the valorization of his thesis project and provides him support though an entrepreneurship training. Miguel will be defending his PhD on September 17, 2021.
